On Sunday, April 14th, 2019, we performed at the Homegrown Festival in Dallas, TX. On the way to the show, our van started breaking down, but we were, thankfully, able to make it to the performance on time. After the show, we took the van to Randall Reed’s Park Cities Ford of Dallas to get fixed. The dealership was closed, but an on-site security guard instructed us to leave our van at the facility overnight so the vehicle could be promptly serviced the following morning. The van had our trailer attached to it, which was later detached from the van and moved by an employee to the dealership’s parking lot. We took as much gear home as we could, but unfortunately, a few bigger items had to be left behind in the trailer.

Early Tuesday morning, a security guard making his rounds at the dealership noticed that the trailer disappeared at some point between 4am and 5am.

In total we had just around $30,000 worth of equipment stolen. Some of the items that were stolen include our two Nord keyboards, a rack case containing our digital monitor mixing rig, band merchandise, a Roland drum pad, and a Yamaha snare drum. A police report has been filed with the Dallas Police Department, area music stores have been sent a list of stolen items to be on the lookout for, and we have been watching for our gear to show up for sale online.

Here’s the good news: DPD FOUND OUR TRAILER over the weekend.

The bad news: IT WAS EMPTY, and damaged. :(

We were fortunate, in a way, that this theft didn’t occur while we were in the middle of a tour so we haven’t had to cancel any shows. Our touring schedule resumes this Thursday, April 25th, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at Mid City Ballroom. We do not currently have a timeline for when we’ll be able to replace the stolen items.

We hate that we have to organize a gofundme to help us with our finances while we go through the process, but we’re hoping that with a little help from our family, friends, fans, the show will go on!

We can’t thank you enough for all the kind messages of support throughout the last week. This experience has been a quite a nightmare and, though this is a major setback, it is temporary. Our gratitude for the tremendous support we receive from family, friends, and fans, however, will keep us motivated far longer than we’ll feel this loss. Thank you to Dallas PD for being so helpful, and thank you to the Houston Chronicle, The Dallas Observer, KHOU 11, KTRK Channel 13 Houston, Fox 26 Houston, Central Track, and everyone else that has shared our story. We’ll see y’all on the road!

Thank you,
Kam, Pat, Chapy, Razo, Kevin, Jon, and Nick
