The Andersen Archives of Maine

Weston and Brenda Andersen began their pottery studio on the coast of Maine in the early 1950's. They became well -known in the area and throughout the country  for their elegant, authentic , mid-century ,
hand-crafted ceramics.

Our family is working to collect, document , archive, and
preserve the rare , early work , both from our own personal family archives, and also from the many community members who have acquired  private family collections ,passed down  through the generations.

We are working with various museums, curators, and knowledgable collectors to develop this hisoric project. to bring to, and from , the local community.

We are seeking support for associated expenses for this endevour, including photography, data entry, individual
packaging, storage, and ongoing business  operating expenses for completing the work, in preparation for future exhibition in established museums. We hope to discover more  rare items from other local   family collections in the area. please let us know of any possibilities !
