The Story

The Screaming Field is a surreal black comedy following Ivan, a young man stuck in a mundane routine that is broken by a new trend across the town - everyone is going to the Screaming Field, where if you scream, all your worries will go away. But what lies in the field, and what does it want?


The Crew

We’re a group of ambitious young filmmakers seeking help in making our next production, The Screaming Field, a reality. We are students at the University of York but are creating this film externally to our degree as a passion project.


The Budget Breakdown

£50 towards food and drinks for the shoot - we will have a cast and crew of about ten people over a week.

£40 towards general production costs, primarily covering transport costs for our cast and crew and printing fees.

£110 towards design to create our surreal aesthetic. We’ll be creating many of our own props for cost efficiency, but clothes will likely be our biggest expenses.
