He leaves behind a wife and 2 kids and they desperately need help! Please read their story below:

Lets go to their beginning. Courtney and Skip met in 1997 though friends, and didn’t start dating until 2000. They were the kind of couple I wanted to be like. So in love, and they were not letting anyone get in their way! They were married in 2001 in which I got to be a huge part of! Courtney was pregnant with their 1st child.   Courtney and Skip gave birth to Gabriel (Gabe) in 2001 and I just remember how incredibly happy they were to be starting a family. Gabe was just so perfect and I was so happy to be a part of their most treasured moment. Courtney and Skip’s second child Brielle was born in 2004. Oh boy was this girl an absolute spit fire from day one! Her mother’s twin inside and out! Over the next 18 years I watched this family grow into a family I only hoped of having one day. I've watched their beautiful kids grow into young adults, and overcome the most life wrenching things any child should have to go through. Courtney and Skip are  my role models in that I only hope to raise my children the way they did and still do to this day.Courtney is the mother I only hope to be one day.

Now to the sad part! The reason we are HERE!  In April 2016 at age 46 Skip took his 12 year old daughter with him for a check up due to massive migraines. He never expected what was going to come next while his daughter was there. Skip was diagnosed with brain cancer. In case you don’t know brain cancer is the worst of it. So the family went into survival mode and Skip started radiation and chemo right away! Skip went into remission and had clear scan after clear scan. In the midst of all of this Courtney age 43 was diagnosed with a breast cancer gene, the same one that took her mother’s life. Being the strong women she is she immediately took action and had double mastectomy. At age 48 Skip was re-diagnosed in August 2018 with a new tumor. His son Gabe only 17 and daughter 14! This time the news wasn’t good. Skip has the worst brain cancer you could possibly have and it will take his life. Take his life away from his wife, his children, his family, his friends, and this world.

So to give you a timeline on everything and treatments. Surgery for skip was 4/12/2016, craniotomy with subtotal tumor resection.42 days of chemo and radiation concurrent. Then 18 months of 5 day chemo cycles with 23 days off. 1 year after finishing the 18 months tumor came back with w vengeance. Tried same chemo and it didn’t work. Tumor grew with new spots.  This tumor is inoperable because it’s on both sides of his brain. In March 2019 skip was put on hospice and lost his battle March 4, 2019.

Now Courtney: she had a abnormal which turned into a biospy with precancerous lesions.  She did  genetic testing and tested positive for a breast cancer gene variant. So She opted for double mastectomy with reconstruction.  Pathology came back and showed tissue was abnormal in both breasts. Not just the one side. Lymph nodes were clear and no chemo needed. This was all during the time skip was sick.
