The Road to L.A.

Donation protected
It started with a dream some 5 years ago; pitch a radio talk show to a local station and see what happens.  I expected it to take months to convince them, it took 4 days.

We have learned a lot since then and there have been many changes and plenty of rough times, but we held on.  We went from 4 hosts to 2, we went from a successful radio show (OUTSpoken)  to a very popular podcast (The Martini Lounge with Jonathan & Sergey).  We went from begging agents to book their clients on our show to networks like Fox calling us to ask  us if we will interview their people.  We have been honored to speak with the likes of Lily Tomlin, William Shatner, Jane Lynch, Margaret Cho and so many more.

There were plenty of times through the years that  it seemed like we had reached the end of the road, but each time we committed to push through the fear into hope and each time it took us higher.  We find ourselves at a precipice once again, it's time to push and believe and hope.

We could not have made it to this point without the support of the people in Spokane, WA and all of our friends, to every single listener who has joined us along the way and to the amazing people we have been able to talk to and connect with and work with.

We need your support again, although there are many opportunities we are lucky enough to explore, it takes quite a bit of money to make a move of this magnitude, especially to a place like Los Angeles.  Sometimes in life we must humble ourselves and ask for the help of others.  It can be vulnerable and feel awkward for us, but we bring it to you with open hearts.

Sergey & I are unlikely friends, we work in a way that doesn't make sense to many but the connection is like electricity in the air.  We connect beyond the generation gap, beyond the labels we place upon ourselves as humans, beyond cultures.  For every reason people say we should not work, those are the very reasons that we do.  It is also why we can guarantee we are ready for this move.  We are grateful for any help you feel motivated to offer.

Whether you are 22 or 42, it is never too late for your dreams.  The time is ours, the time is now.  Thank you!
