The Rick Prewitt Cancer Fundraiser

For those of you that don’t know Rick let us tell you a little bit about him and his life. Rick is an all-around good guy. He loves the Philadelphia Eagles, the Phillies and Flyers. Rick has found his Passion in radio with being the host of the Paradelphia Podcast for the past 7+ years. With his newlywed wife taryn, they are the BIGGEST animal lovers you would find. They work tirelessly to help animal rescue causes and have many rescue dogs and cats of their own, all of which were rescued selflessly. They have fostered many dogs and cats and helped rehome (some of which never needed to find another home because they found their home without Rick and Taryn). 
In late August 2019, Rick went in for a colonoscopy for digestive related concerns where they found a mass in his lower colon. A biopsy was done and showed that the tumor was cancerous. Further testing showed that the tumor in the colon spread to the liver with 20% of the liver being infected. Both of his lobes and lymph nodes around his colon are affected. Right now, Rick is at stage 4 cancer and is due to start chemo therapy ASAP. Unfortunately, both Rick and Taryn have both very recently started new jobs and currently have no health insurance and will NOT have health insurance for months. Obviously, this illness will not only effect Rick’s health, but also effect him and Taryn financially due to paying out of pocket for all his medical needs and also Rick possibly not being able to work now due to the illness. 
We as a team are asking anyone who may know Rick or Taryn, anyone that may have been touched by cancer (whether it was a loved one or yourself), or anyone who knows what it’s like to not have health insurance help in anyway possible. NO donation is too small. For a couple that live their lives so selflessly, it breaks everyone’s heart that knows Rick to see someone so amazing be put through such a horrible situation.
