The Red Centre Adventure - Trekking to Fight MS

My name is Sarah and to look at me you wouldn’t think I had anything wrong with me. With no warning signs, at the age of 39, in 2008 I was, diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Some of the symptoms that I'm afflicted with are Optic Neuritis (eye sight), drop foot (walking), speech impediment (Dyspepsia) numbness/ pins and needles, and more.
I exercise daily to keep fit and healthy, which helps to keep these symptoms at bay.
Since I’ve had MS I've completed three City2Surf, three Blackmores Running Festivals (Bridge Run), two Hill to Harbours, two Lake Macquarie Running Festivals and one Sydney Harbour 10km.
In September 2018, I was honoured to “Walk the Great Wall of China to fight MS”. Our team raised more than $150,000 for MS and it was an incredible experience. My first time overseas and taking on an adventure like that. Now I'm hooked!
I’m now proud to again be taking on another challenge, this time the MS Red Centre Adventure - Trekking the Larapinta Trail in Australia to Fight MS .
But I need your help and support to get there!
As I cant work any more I have to rely on the kindness people to get there. I'm a proud independent woman and I hate depending on other people, but sometimes you need to ask for support.
But this is why I do fundraising for MS! So there is support for people like me. Again, we hope to raise more than $100,000 and more. My fundraising for MS is going well, but it's my personal finances that could use some support to get me to the trek. So I'm asking for donation to help me get there
My motto is: “I have MS ... but that’s not going to bloody stop me”.
