The Real Illinois Integrity Fund

In 2016, you elected me to the office of Recorder. I ran on a platform to:
- Eliminate nepotism and patronage in the office
- Refuse the municipal pension
- Reduce costs
- And, ultimately, eliminate my job altogether
I have delivered on all these promises and more!
In 2018, as I ran in the Primary election for Clerk, a group or individual named "Illinois Integrity Fund" published hateful, lie-filled mailers and other communications against me with the intent to:
- Harm my reputation
- Cause chaos in the Republican party
- Cause the voters to vote for my opponent under false pretenses, in what amounts to stealing votes
In an act, almost as unprecedented as the smear campaign launched against me, I have decided to fight back!
My Lawyer, Phil Prossnitz and I have already begun taking action. We've engaged a Private Investigator and initiated court action to uncover the person(s) responsible for lying to the good people of McHenry County.
What is this GoFundMe campaign about?
Uncovering these people and bringing them to justice will not be easy and there will be expenses associated with this pursuit.
My primary intentions for the funds will be to:
- Pay legal fees
- Pay for experts, private investigators and other expenses related to the action.
- Establish a reward fund to create an incentive for someone to come forward with information that leads to the unmasking of the perpetrator(s)
- Cover the cost of communication to help restore my good reputation and spread the word about this campaign and the legal battle.
If we do nothing, we're saying it's ok for our elected officials and aspiring elected officials to win elections at any cost; even if that means lying to the same people they profess to want to serve.
With your help, we can raise the bar on political campaigns in our community, and help drive corruption out of our government.
