The race to save Hachi's Life

Donation protected
My name is Hachi, I am only 5 years old.... A few months ago I was Misdiagnosed with a collapsed trachea. I thought I was getting better until one day I could not breathe and I had to be taken to the emergency MedVet, where my lungs were filling with fluid and I was slowly drowning internally. My doctors thought I may have cancer and gave my family the bad news, there were lots of tears and sadness thinking this was the end for me. Then suddenly we got some good news, I was cancer free, I was ultimately diagnosed with a rare fungus that is only found in the Midwest and it is treatable. I stayed over night to be treated with medication, only to find out that since being misdiagnosed for so long my condition was more severe than anyone thought.  The medication wasn't working and I would need to stay over night for at least a week to be treated with medication to save my life. Unfortunately, to be properly diagnosed my family had to spend thousands of dollars already to keep me stable. Treatment is $1600 a night to help me reverse the condition I have at the moment.
Hachi is a gentle soul that deserves better than what he is currently going through at the moment. As bad as his condition is he tries his best to fight through the pain. He is a huge part of all our lives and we are not ready to give up on him. He belongs to my daughter and they go everywhere together, on October 16 will be her birthday and that will mark exactly 5 years since they have been with each other. I do not want to have her say good bye to him. He not only belongs to her but I have raised him since the day we got him, he helps me deal with my anxiety and when I have panic attacks he will press his body up against my to calm me down in my time of need. He lays with my mother during the day and they both watch ID together and then will make his way to my Dad in the evening to watch sports center with him and occasionally he will hit my brothers door to say hi to him every morning and night.
I rarely post on social media but I refuse to give up on Hachi, so I am turning to social media and any foundations that can help save his life. If you could find it in your heart to help out I would forever be grateful. I can not find it in my heart to put him down since he still has some fight left in him to be with us. But we are desperate for help to keep him comfortable and get him the proper treatment.  Any amount would help out tremendously and it will not go unnoticed. I feel terrible asking strangers for help because I have not done anything to deserve your help but I am hoping you can find it in your heart to help out a deserving pup, he is still young and does not deserve to suffer. Thank you for taking the time to read Hachi's story and if you decide to donate, from the bottom of all our hearts, thank you so very much.
