The Pit Bike Park @ Scales Lake

Trail Heads is currently constructing Phase Two of The Pit Bike Park @ Scales Lake. This phase will see the design and construction of a 2.25-mile beginner trail, 150x300 foot advanced pump track, set of 3 slopestyle trails, and a 1/4-mile dual slalom course. As an added bonus, the advanced pump track will extend our jump line to over 20 jumps! Money from this campaign will go towards hauling dirt for the advanced pump track and for materials to build the slopestyle trails. 

Design and labor for this project is 100% volunteer-based and we have already raised over $15,000 to get to this point. Phase One is complete and includes a beginner pump track, set of 6 dirt jumps, and 1000 foot challenge course. These features have created a significant increase in riders visiting the park and phase two will bring even more visitors. The best part about The Pit Bike Park is that it provides a safe place for kids to ride their bikes. Even more, the advanced features allow them to explore aspects of the sport that are not usually available.

We feel fortunate to have the opportunity to provide this facility to the public and enjoy building it just as much as riding it. Considering these features have a value well over $500,000, Trail Heads volunteers are donating thousands of hours to give Scales Lake a world-class bike park for a fraction of the cost.
