My Brother Jorge and his 6 year old son were struck and killed by a huge truck on October 12 Saturday night in the city of Garden Grove. It was a horrible accident a tragic loss of life for the family and friends who knew them both. We are totally devastated, can not believe that happen to them!
Jorge was a single dad who was raising his son Eric with all the love a Dad could give a disabled child.
He struggled to make ends meet to provide for him. But the love he had for that child was so palpable that you could see it with the way he talked to him and took care of him.
They went everywhere together, they were never apart, they could not live with out one another, and I think that is the reason why God with his great and loving mercy, took them both that night. I think if they were separated one could not survive without the other. Even though they were going through so much, they were a happy go lucky couple of guys who loved life, no matter what came in front of them, they were going to make it, emotions are very raw among family and friends and the love for both of these guys is real; I thank God for his endless mercy and loving kindness.
I have been going to the place where they lost their lives, people approached me to offer their condolences and most of them knew them and they said that those two were inseparable, goodness they loved each other so much that you could tell Jorge was a good dad. That gives me so much comfort , word on the street is that they will be greatly missed. That sweet boy who was always playing and smiling and the guy who was always joking around and making people laugh. (that was Jorge for you). We will miss that part of him, he will be missed very deeply.
Jorge was a loving son, brother, father, friend who loved life. He is greatly missed.
May his son who is a little angel, be the best companion for my brother in heaven.
It is important for us to let every one know that, every single penny collected in this Go Fund me will go directly to pay for my brother's funeral expenses.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you who has donated to this cause.
