The lost of mother, veteran and a w

Donation protected
Last week Matt lost his wife she died suddenly in her sleep from a medication interaction. Now Matt and hi two sons are suddenly without a mother and will be laying her to rest next week. Both Matt and Patricia are veterans. an are both disabled from there service. She was 80 percent from combat injuries Here is the best honest account of their story: Yes Patricia is a combat veteran. She served four years with the US Marine Corps, and did two trips over to Iraq as a Marine. Her second trip she found out she was pregnant with Elijah, and medivaced. After she completed her tour with the Marines, she joined the Oregon Army National Guard in 2008. She was activated with the Guard and was Title 10, rear support. After she completed her Iraqi support, she returned to the Oregon Guard until her medical retirement in 2015. She has a service connected disability rating of 80%. While she was deployed to Iraq, she suffered 7 sexual assaults and had an extremely difficult time trusting or being around men. That was her major hurdle to school. She so wanted to learn how to manage a little homestead, but couldn’t overcome her fear or anxiety and just stopped attending. She hadn’t quit, we had plans to get her in this month and address her debt and change her major to Religious Studies, hoping the increase in strengthening her spirituality, she could better handle her fears and anxiety. Matthew Archer: I was a soldier during the Cold War Era, 88-90. Stationed in Germany at a nuclear missile detachment assigned to support the British 50th Missile Regiment. As the missile system we worked was beginning to be phased out at the same time as the wall came down, we often were tasked to transport East Germans from Berlin to Bonn. After a 16 year break in service, I watched the news with all the Americans’ about the wars raging and the leaders getting younger and younger. With an ever growing frustration, I joined back up to support the Oregon Army National Guard with the Afghanistan Mission in ’06. Upon my return in ’08 my unit had another deployment set for ’09. My unit sent me and a few other hard chargers to infantry school to bring more combat arms knowledge to the battalion. An issue arose and my role in the unit had to be changed to rear support, where I met Patricia. After my support for Iraqi Freedom, I was hired by the Oregon Army National Guard as an AGR (Active Guard Reserve) until my medical retirement date in 2014, since then Trish has been my caregiver. They are also recovering from losing everything in a fire last year. So needless to say this is a hard time for the the family. They lost everything they had in a fire last year and are still recovering from that. Matt doesn't even have a suit to wear to his wife funeral. Now the government because Patricia didn't survive the entire month of July are going to freeze Matthews bank accounts to take back he money from last month for Patricia. SO living on a fixed income with no other type of support he is a little lost on what he is todo in the mist of this tragedy. My ask is to help him and the boys not only with this tragedy but also with having funds to do something fun and pay for food and anything they need right now. Please help our bother in arms. If you dont have money its ok we are accepting donations of any kind Just email me and will direct where it needs to go.
