The Jarvis Family Needs Us

A couple of months ago my brother-in-law, Bryan Jarvis, started not feeling well.  Initially, it seemed like he was experiencing the pains of growing older but with time it became clear that something more serious was wrong. Bryan was having difficulty standing and walking. This was impacting his ability to go to work as a carpenter. Last week things became more serious, he couldn’t stand without falling,  he couldn’t sit up without falling over,  he was experiencing pain as well. It became more and more difficult for Bryan to eat and talk as he was experiencing numbness in his face. He was seen at two different emergency rooms and sent home even though he was unable to walk or care for himself. After a third trip to to a different emergency room,  Baystate admitted him inpatient.  After numerous tests they have determined that Bryan is suffering from Guillian-Barre Syndrome.  This syndrome is rare and is essentially the nervous system attacking itself. Unfortunately, at the height of this emergency, his wife,  Dianna, was changing jobs and the family currently does not have insurance.  Bryan will have a long road to recovery that includes rehab.   Dianna  is extremely hard-working but will not be able to do this alone.  I am reaching out to ask for help for the Jarvis family to offset medical expenses and to help Diana continue to meet their financial obligations while Bryan is unable to work.  I know many of you know the Jarvis family, have been on teams with Bryan, have had Bud as a coach,  or have great memories of epic times with the Jarvis brothers.
