Erin was diagnosed with pneumonia late January and tried her best but contracted the flu Febuary 5th. She was taken from her home town hospital in Warren via life flight to Erie where her prognosis was very grim, at that time she was given less than a 5% survival rate. They then took her to Pittsburgh to UPMC where she has been on ECMO  and two diffrent ventilators to help keep her  oxgen levels up, and dialysis because her kidneys have begun to shut down. To do this they had to sedate and put her to into a drug induced coma. She is currently 3 hours from home making it difficult for Jack to travel back and forth so he has not been able to go back to work. The children have not been able to see their mother since her admittance because of there age and they themself are sick. The family has rallied together to help as much as they can but many have to go back to work. Any donation to help off set medical and everyday expenses would be very appreciated.

Erin is mending nicely. They wanted to send her to an inpatient rehab, but decided that she was doing well walking/functioning on her own. Their main concern at this point is the trach tube site. So they are monitoring her there for a few more days.

It is so exciting how far she has come!!

Erin has asked me to get addresses sent to her email or facebook messenger so she can get thank you notes sent out. She is so thankful for everyone's thought's prayers and support!!

Erin's email is erin_pearson1@hotmail.com and she will start working on Thank you notes as soon as possible.

Erin has made amazing strides this past week! She has been taken off the ECMO and dialysis. They placed the tracheotomy and she is sitting up and writing to Jack and briefly talking. It wont be long and she will be back on facebook doing her own updates! We can not thank you all enough for the prayers, well wishes and financial support.

First of all we would like to thank everyone for all there support. Now for a few updates. Jack and Erin's daughter Brooke is doing much better, after being released from the hospital, Jack took her to Pittsburgh to be checked out again by Erins Doctors. They have to let the flu and pneumonia run its course with her medications.

Now Erin is also doing much better, she is still in a coma, but no longer needs to be on the EKMO machine. They are talking about putting a trach in her throat. She unfortunately still needs a ventilator to breath but we all have so much more hope. She is still in the pulmonary ICU, those doctors and nurses are taking great care of her. Jack refuses to leave her side, I have never seen more love than the love I see in his eyes for her. Everyday she gets a little better. The donations are very appreciated as this has been very rough on the family financially.

Erin has remained stable with small improvements (she is one tough cookie) unfortunately her daughter is in the hospital with pneumonia and the flu. We were able to catch it early so hopefully we will only need a few days here in the hospital.
