WE’RE ADOPTING!!!
God has put it on our hearts to grow our family through domestic infant adoption!
Just before our 2nd miscarriage, God quietly planted a seed in our hearts to adopt & over the last few weeks that desire has only grown & taken root. After much prayer, counsel, & research we took a big leap of faith and sent in our first official paperwork last weekend! We couldn't be more excited for what's ahead!
So: why adoption? Well, there are MANY reasons we want to adopt, but the biggest reasons are: 1) God has adopted us into His family & He specifically calls us as Christians to care for the fatherless (James 1:27) ❤️ 2) We have always hoped for a large family & over the course of the last 6 months, God was creating a space in our lives and hearts for a child that didn't have to be ours by blood. We realized that our dream of a big family doesn’t have to just happen through biological children (although we still hope & pray for more), we could grow our family through adoption!
Our hope, prayer, & anthem is that this entire journey will be a redemptive, faith-building, & God-glorifying experience start to finish that we can share with you!
We would be lying if we said that we weren't a little intimidated to share that we are going to need people coming alongside of us in order to bring our baby home. The simple truth is that we can't do this entirely on our own - although you can bet we are putting every dollar and every effort in possible to bring our baby home! But we realize that by sharing our need, we are also sharing an opportunity to choose life & join us as we take a stance against abortion in one of the most tangible ways possible. Pro-adoption is another side of being pro-life. Without adoption, what would happen to these babies? To us, saying we are pro-life means welcoming & raising a little one as our own whose biological mother selflessly chose life for her child. But for you, maybe being pro-life means volunteering at a local pregnancy support clinic. Maybe it means standing outside of Planned Parenthood to share some truth about abortion. Or maybe it’s as simple as making a donation - ANY size - towards adoption❤️ When we think of it in that light, we are genuinely excited to be allowing others this opportunity to choose LIFE with us.
