The Foster Pantry

The Foster Pantry is a community closet set up to be tangible support for foster parents. The idea arose when a woman by the name of Kim Breeden and her girl scout troops did a project that involved collecting materials to help foster parents such as clothes, cribs, high chairs, etc.
Most of the time kids in our community that come into custody are brought into our homes with little to nothing. Carrying a trash bag or a grocery bag filled with whatever the social worker can grab in the small amount of time allotted to them when getting the kids out of situations.
The Foster Pantry is designed to be a catalyst for our community. By preparing “grab bags” that will have a weeks worth of supplies so that there isn’t a rush to get to the store to prepare for the next day, and also so when a foster parent gets a call they are able to be prepared.
We have started this GoFundMe after several people asked about how they could donate money. We truly appreciate all of the love and support that we have gotten. We are completely blown away. :)
