Hi! We are the "The Five Stages" Production Team, and we are raising money to produce this amazing new work of theatre.

And we are so excited you came to our page.
Danielle wrote this piece back in college, and sensing both its relevance in the world, and our need as artists to create something new, Rachael and Danielle decided to produce the piece.
The Five Stages explores the five stages of grief through the point of view of Mary, a high school student who loses her best friend at the hands of breakup violence. The world is manipulated and controlled by a Grecian-style chorus who help Mary find her way.
Our goal is to put the piece up for a three-show run in April. We are currently in the casting phase, we are booking rehearsal spaces and eventually a performance venue, and we have a fundraiser scheduled where you will all be invited to come watch a reading of the script.
As you can imagine, this is a very expensive endeavor. We are looking to spend roughly....
$2,000 on a performance venue (TBD)
$1,500 on rehearsal space (thats after a very sizable discount from a friend)
$1,000 in stipends (we do not believe in not paying our actors/crew members at all. "Experience" does not pay the bills, and our stipend sizes will depend on how much money we raise.)
$500-1,000 in miscellaneous (backstage account for casting, food for cast and crew for longer rehearsals, printing, zipcars or ubers for moving set pieces, lights, and other unforeseen expenses)
We are lucky that this is a very bare-bones production by nature, and that we have to take very little into account in terms of set and costumes. But nonetheless, putting up a production is not cheap. We are very grateful for your help!
