James is a remarkable young man. There just aren't enough words to describe his admirable qualities and the positive influence that his presence has on the people around him. He is always thoughtful, kind and courteous towards others. He demonstrates generosity and is trustworthy in his what he says. Though barely 18 years old, James is brilliant in his thoughts and ideas and has the ability to motivate and inspire others . Above all, James is truly a humble and kind human being.
As a reflection of James' true character, he has never been afraid to take on a challenge. While our family was rushing around to prepare for the Christmas holidays, we had no idea that James was about to face of the most difficult and painful challenges that he has ever encountered. On December 22nd, James was admitted to Sick Kids Hospital due to shortness of breath and a pain in his chest. The X-rays revealed a large mass on his lung as the cause of his discomfort, and his white blood cell count was off the charts. To top it all off (as if that news wasn't distressing enough), then came the final diagnosis... Leukaemia
This page has been set up at the request of several friends of the family who desire a way to actively contribute towards supporting the 'Fight for James'. We would like to emphasize that we do not expect people to donate money, but that any donation is incredibly appreciated as it is unclear what new challenges may lay ahead.
