A touring poet has a unique opportunity to reach outside of their home and connect with artists and scenes outside of their comfort zone. To join the ranks of touring poets, especially with a friend, is an incredible adventure and privilege. We are so thankful for the community that has built and supported us to this point. We deeply believe in accessible art, and with your support, your dollar, your smile, your words, you are lifting our art into the light. We so appreciate you!
Kate, why did you want to go on tour?
For me, this tour means celebrating everything we've accomplished and realizing that we've hardly scratched the surface. I would absolutely not be where I am without the support of the poetry community and I'm so excited to be able to expand our reach. I can't wait to explore new cities, meet artists, and get to share my work alongside my friend!
Bri, why did you want to go on tour?
The idea of taking my words on the road , and using my art as a means to continue my presence in the world, is kinda the dream! Getting the opportunity to meet other artists I never would of met other wise and be inspired by their art is thrilling to me. I am only half of the creating process, the consumer of my poems brings the substance to my work and now I get the chance to bring it to them. Going on tour with Kate is another special piece of this adventure. I couldn't of dreamed of doing this without her.
