The Ducks of Scripps Ranch

Do you know feeding bread to ducks is really bad for them? Bread is junk food for birds. It causes them to become overweight so they cannot effectively escape from predators, it pollutes their water and causes diseases like "Angel Wing" (malnutrition from carbs and sugars), just to name a few issues. The ducks living in our Scripps Ranch ponds are unfortunately being fed loads of bread and have even been fed boxes of donuts! With the help of Bob Ilko (President of the Scripps Ranch Civic Association), we are raising money to buy four beautiful and informative signs which explain these facts and provide healthy treat alternatives. We intend to place two signs at Hendrix Pond and two signs at Evans Pond. The signs are $100 each plus shipping (Metal, UV protected, full color). If we exceed our goal, we will work towards an additional sign at the Lake. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will help us reach our goal! Thank you for helping to keep our ducks safe and healthy.
