The Domesticated Dad

Donation protected
This photo is of our family when we first began our family business,  The Domesticated Dad ‌, in August of 2013. We had no savings in the bank to start a business at the time, but our daughter had an idea that we just couldn't stop thinking about - delivering brown bag lunches for "her friends". Our little man agreed, and so we went for it, with the help of a friend who let us use his commerical kitchen, and customers who showed up and ordered faithfully. Our prices were low, because we wanted to make it affordable for local families, but as busy as we were, we still weren't making enough money to survive, so we had to raise prices. But we've still been going through some trial and errors trying to figure this all out.

It's been a fun, awesome, and bumpy rollercoaster of a road over the past few years, lots of ups and downs. We were able to get our own little storefront in town, with many thanks to God who gave us the resources for that, but no matter how hard we work,  and no matter how busy we are, bootstrapping has been getting harder and harder  to grow the business and continue to serve the community.

We have the best customers ever, and this little store has been like an extended family to us, as we've met so many people in town, and try to donate whatever we can whenever we can to help others, too.

But we are at a crossroads. Our credit is not so great - we're working on it, but banks will not loan us money. Without funding, it's been increasingly difficult as we grow bigger. We need funds to add refrigeration, repair stuff that needs fixing, keep delivering those brown bag lunches in the early hours of the morning, and keep our doors open.

We try never to ask for anything,  so we would like to use this Go Fund Me as a way to offer something in return to anyone who supports us, and continue offering fresh, homemade food to our community.  All supporters will receive a homemade  token of gratitude from us!!

We are so grateful to all of our customers, and to the many people who over the years who have helped in any way, even with kind words and encouragement. Any small bit helps, and we thank you  for taking the time to read this!! As always, it's an honor to serve you.
