For the past 20 years I have been known for my crazy hair! Somedays, I have to admit it looks better than others but none the less my hair has become a trademark for me; in a crowd I am easily found and you may have already heard someone say "Do you know Gab Bélanger, the guy with all the hair"...
Over the years many people have dared me to shave my head or offered me money but I could never seem to bring myself to do it, until now...
On June 29th, 2018 my good friend, Dillon Ojo, was taken from us. The sadness of the industry poured out over social media for days, weeks, months and continues to do so. Everyone was left with a hole in their hearts and a tear on their cheek remembering what once was. Dillon will always be a part of me, and this is my way of contributing to ensure we never forget.
When speaking with Dillon's mother of my project, she told me about when Dillon decided to shave off all his curls. She recalled it being a challenge for him but he loved it in the end.
So now, after 20 years, I have decided, in the hopes of raising as much money as possible for my dear friend to shave it all off. I will be doing it at The Frog Show, January 22nd, 2019.
