The David McKay Memorial Scholarship Fund

December 10th 2018, will mark 15 years without our Dad. On this date we typically share a fond memory with each other, look at old pictures or rock out to Bruce Springsteen. This year, we want to do something more.

Teaching was our Dad's passion. He had the ability to inspire and motivate his students to dream big and take chances. In the spirit of  dreaming big, we would like to create a scholarship in our dads name that will help students in their dreams of higher education. Right now our goal is to  support two graduates of 2019 but would love to create a fund that is long lasting.

Each of us have agreed to contribute our own money to start the scholarship fund. We want to extend the invitation to the community of those who loved our Dad to contribute what you can to the David McKay Memorial Scholarship. With the holiday season upon us, we acknowledge that giving in this way might not be everyones budget. Instead we ask you to share a memory that you have with our dad :)

A scholarship will awarded to 2 seniors: one from Aberdeen High School and one from Hoquiam High School.
