The Cora Rayne Collection is a super high quality & eco-friendly, whimsical clothing line that donates 100% of its profit back to First Responders Families who have lost their loved ones in the Line of Duty.
Our Amazing Daughter, Palm Springs Police Officer LESLEY ZEREBNY was ambushed and killed in the line of duty on 10-8-16. She had just returned from maternity leave with our 4 month old Grandaughter Cora Rayne. To say that our family is devastated and crushed is an enormous understatement! Our sorrow and grief is indescribable... we wake up in the middle of a nightmare everyday!!!
The First Responders community and family has been nothing less than amazing when it came to supporting our family. The LA County Sheriff Department alone sent 5,000 deputies to Lesley's Memorial. Police Officers had come from all around the country. There were over 15,000 people at Lesley's Service. Lesley was and is our Hero ...she was born to be a Warrior!
The compassion and support from family, friends, and this awesome family of first responders has sustained us through this nightmare. We decided that we need to do everything we can to help other First Responders Families that are experiencing the same unfathomable nightmare we are since we have seen first hand how priceless and precious this gift has been to our family.
Currently the average is 2 - 3 police officers are killed every week! THIS IS HORRIBLE AND HAS TO STOP! We have seen that probably 99.9% of the public supports and greatly appreciates our Good Law Enforcement despite the BS you hear on TV.
In some of the southern states the first responders make minimum wage, work 2-3 jobs and have no benefits at all. So if you’re a stay at home mom raising your baby and your husband was just killed in the line of duty ... not only are you now going through the most unimaginable horrific nightmare but on top of that you can lose your home because you have no money to be able to pay your bills.
This is unimaginably cruel since we live in the wealthiest country in the world and don’t take care of our heroes families... what an ungrateful time we live in...our Heroes sacrifice everything to keep everyone elses families safe, then kick their families to the curb when they pay the supreme sacrifice...
First Responders are not paid what they deserve for what they and their family risk to protect everyone else’s families. Every day they put on their uniform knowing that if the flames and demons of hell come to claim innocent lives that they will sacrifice their life and family‘s well-being for a perfect stranger and their family... they would even sacrifice their lives for their critics who wouldn't do a dang thing to help our Hero Officers.
Everyday their wife, husband, or kids kisses them goodbye not knowing if they will be coming back home.
Not only have these families been torn apart and have lost their Mom or Dad but many are left in financial dire straights having lost their income. We can’t let this happen!
The funds raised will be used to help launch and grow The Cora Rayne Collection. The support will allow us to partner, create, design, and launch our Company to create an amazing clothing collection and create a money machine to help these first responders families going through this ongoing horrific nightmare.
In addition I championed a bill that is in the House Of Representatives, HR5060 The Heroes Lesley Zerebny and Gilbert Vega First Responders Survivors Support Act. This bill, if passed Lord willing, will increase the Federal Compensation for EVERY FIRST RESPONDER killed in the line of duty.
On a personal note this will be a labor of love and extremely emotional for me as each time we meet with these families it will re open our wounds for our beautiful Lesley....but we must support these families and the sacrifice they have made for all of us. I will dedicate the rest of my life to support these families.
