The Coon Family Fire Relief Fund

On Monday, April 24 2017, Marissa took Avery and Eli to Avery's gymnastics class while Brian finished up his evening at work. Within 20 minutes of leaving the house, she got a call from neighbors that their home was engulfed in flames. The neighbors tried to rescue the family dogs, Bailey and Dio, but the smoke was too much. The Gilbert Fire Department responded immediately and worked to put out the fire. Gilbert Fire located Bailey and Dio, and after extensive resuscitation efforts Bailey and Dio both succumbed to their injuries. The Coon family home is a total loss. Brian, Marissa, Avery, and Eli are safe but they have a long road ahead of them as they rebuild their life. Everyone involved is extremely overwhelmed but thankful for the efforts of the multiple engines that responded from the Gilbert Fire Department.
