The Burke Mummers - Tour Of Galway

On February 9th 2019, the people of Ballinderreen and friends of the parish will be taking part in a wonderful event called "Ballinderreen Lip Sync Battle 2019" in the Loughrea Hotel. This is where a number of teams will battle it out on stage, have the craic, and the winning team will be announced on the night as Lip Sync Champion! The purpose of this event is to raise money, which will be put towards the project to build a state of the art gym for the local community of Ballinderreen. Each Lip Sync team member is obligued to organise a fundraiser leading up to the event. Blathnaid and Mikey Burke will be Lip Sync Battlers on the night! Their fundraiser is called 'The Burkes - Mummers of Galway'. This will take place on 26th December 2018, where the Burke siblings Mikey, Rosie and Blathnaid, will be touring all four corners of Galway playing tunes and singing songs! The siblings will be also be joined by their parents/financial advisors/life coaches, PJ and Claire Burke, and some point theyll be singing songs too! Tis like the Von Traaps!! The starting point is Rafterys Rest Kilcolgan at 11am Stephens Day. Get the breakfast and the first set of tunes there. And from there on we will cover north, south, east and west of the County. Going from pub to pub singing, dancing and laughing! Who knows where will end up, as long as we make it back to Ballinderreen by 9pm. Mikey (AKA meself) is gigging that night in O Looneys. There will be many more musicians / bucket shakers / friends coming along, so please spread the word an join us!!! PJ is booking the seven seater, and therell be few more drivers, so dont be shy!!! It promises to be a good one!!!
