We are excited to announce that we are ADOPTING! Our journey to this point began two years ago when we found out we couldn't have children of our own. That news shook our world but our relationship with God and each other has grown to a much deeper level. Though all the tears we began to understand that God loves us and has an amazing plan for our lives..
Over the past two years we have given up our own dreams and have asked God to direct us in HIS best dream for our lives. During that time we explored our many options for creating a family but each time felt the need to wait and rest in God. That all changed five months ago.
Over the summer I (Lyndie) had come up with a plan to turn our spare bedroom, which was going to be our nursery, into a guest room. As I was putting the finishing touches . . . Ryan told me he felt like we should look into our options again. WHAT????? Ha ha ha, very funny God! There He went again, keeping me on my toes.
Over the next week we researched the options and felt a peace in our souls about adopting. We knew in our spirits that this was what God wanted for us. Our dream of being parent's was alive again!
The process of adoption requires that we step out in faith and be stretched in ways that are out of our comfort zone. We are very thankful that we have the means to provide for a child’s daily needs but the reality is that there is a substantial amount of money needed to bring a child into our home. The average domestic infant adoption ranges from $15,000-$30,000. Every adoption is different and we are still unsure of what ours will look like. Would you be willing to join us on this amazing journey? Whether you feel led to help us financially or though your prayers and encouragement, it all means the world to us!
