Brightside Headquarters

Tax deductible
The Brightside Project was founded in 2016 by a father-daughter team, Scott Lewis and Lisa Wallace.  With over 2 decades combined of experience working with low-income and underserved families they decided to launch a non-profit that would reach out directly to the children.

Children in Columbiana County and surrounding communities in Northeast Ohio are hurting.  They are struggling to see a bright future as they battle against hunger, poverty, drug abuse, neglect and complex emotional and mental health issues.  The Brightside Project was launched to meet the needs of these children. Our mission is to equip and empower children to reach their full potential by building resiliency and giving hope.

2019 has given us the opportunity to open a permanent facility located in downtown Salem that will serve as our Brightside Headquarters.  This building will open up many opportunities for our outreach efforts including serving as a food and clothing center for children.  This building will also serve as the distribution site for our special events including; Christmas toys, Easter baskets and school supplies.

The Brightside Headquarters will be a resource to meet the needs of children in our community.  It will also serve as a place where people can donate their gently used children's items including; clothes, toys, books and shoes.  It will also serve as a place where people from the community can get involved and volunteer their time to help others.  The Brightside Project will be a place where the community can come together and help each other.

We have a vision on how this building can be transformed to meet our goals.  We have made a budget that includes freshly painted walls, new flooring, a bathroom remodel, a new back exterior door and drywall in areas that have damage.  We are aiming to raise $3,000.00 to help cover these expenses.  Any dollar amount you can give will allow hundreds of children in our community to see that there is a brightside.  We believe in the power of a community - if we can get 150 people to donate $20, we will meet our goal!  Help us spread the word!
