Tax deductible

We’re raising money in aid of BIRMINGHAM ASSOCIATION FOR MENTAL HEALTH (Birmingham Mind) and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.

Do you want to join us in making a difference, and see our band in live performance 13th September 2019?

If you can help us hit our total, we’ll put the show online, either through live stream, or a video upload.

“For those who know me would know that I am not shy when it comes to facing challenges. This trait is exacerbated further, when it comes to doing things for charities and its something very close to my heart.

So, when I had the idea of forming a M&B band, with a view of it not only being a team bonding activity, but with a purpose of raising money for one of our charities, the challenge was set.

Fortunately for me, the team is full of extremely talented musicians, and once I exhausted all my charm and money, we ended up with a core team that simply exceeded beyond my expectations. So, now that we have a band together, what are we going to call ourselves? I would like to say that we spent hours and hours producing various iteration, dawned from various inspirations, however the truth is that it was one of the band members, Luke who suggested what ended up being the perfect name.

The Beer Kegs!

Given that the majority of us in the band are of a certain vintage and of questionable fitness, it's rather fitting that aligned to beer kegs as the six packs have long gone!

So, who are these true warriors of music?  Let me introduce them to you:

Luke 'Lighting Sticks’ Horton - An amazing drummer and plays for various bands performing all across the region

Gareth 'Rumble, Baby Rumble' Kinsey - A mega talented bass player who has been a performing artist for some 30 years now and performing regularly with his band all across the Midlands

Nick 'Riff Meister' Noyce - Jimmy Hendrix who? No one can make a guitar sing like Nick.  He is also in a band performing most weekends across the region

Andrew 'Twinkle Fingers' McKinney - Another great player. Andrew used to be in a band some years back but is making a popular return to the stage with the Beer Kegs

Jim 'The Voice' Guest - With his rich experience in music, radio DJ for a number of years, distinct dulcet tone and his now famous 'shoes off' style, he brings charisma, energy and good looks only a front man could have

Bis 'Tiny Dancer’ Msuya - My role is more of a Music Director and will play a bit of the bass. Drummer at heart but have been playing the bass for a couple of years now (so musically incredibly young), however I play pretty much every weekend.  What I don’t have in talent, I make up in enthusiasm

The guys have put in enormous amount of work in getting ready for this event and I promise, you will not be disappointed.

So save the date to find out how the story ends 13 September 2019
