Medical Bills

Ok followers, take a second and read through this. It's going to be educational. And a little sad.

So, when we rescue puppies from the South, they come up sick. A lot. And we give them a chance. If we left them down there, they'd be euthanized, on a cold cement floor in a gas chamber. Horrific. So we take them, hoping, that they will be as healthy as advertised.

But, shit happens. It could happen for a million reasons. I'm not going to point fingers but, shit happens. It's like calling the school when you're kid gets sick trying to find the little carrier monkey that started the strep throat epidemic. Useless, you just deal. You can wash hands all you want, but sometimes, the stomach flu will find your whole house. So picture that, expect with puppies who can't tell you what is wrong. Vet bills up the wahzoo happens. They get sick and it costs a lot of money to try and get them better. Sometimes THOUSANDS of dollars for one dog.

There are months that we avoid it. We get healthy pups,we adopt them out and all is well! And there are months that you want to cry, blame and quit. Months you wanna ask god why he can be so cruel. This is one of those times.

Stacy is stressed. The debts are piling up. We hate to ask for money. We are fundraising. We are wrapping up the wines. But we need cold hard cash to pay off vet debt. We could do a Go Fund Me, but that just puts $$ in their pocket. I'd rather take out the middle man. If each of us gave $5, we could really put a dent in this bill. So I'm going to start and would love for you to give what you can, a dollar. Ten, whatever you may have around. Know that behind the scenes of rescue, it is a messy and sometimes sad business. Ask a nurse or a doctor how their days at work are, then you can imagine what we see. So I'm going to do what I can to help save some lives and raise some money and I hope you do too!
