That's A Wrap Toy Appeal 2018

Why?
Noor, Ibrahim and I set out to find out how we could help those in need in our own area this winter, and the ways we could do this by working with local charities operating on the frontline. All three of us have worked with (or for) charities that provide emergency aid in London for quite a while, so we know what a big difference an in-kind donation can make, from a tin of baked beans to a warm pair of socks!
We want to look out for our neighbours this winter, and we also want to bring local residents together to support the work of local charities that provide some crucial services, hence our Winter Toy Appeal!
What?
We made some initial enquiries and were immediately inundated with requests for toys from local charities.
Our aim is to raise 2,000 new toys (or the funds towards toy costs) by 15 December 2018 from the local community, for local children who would otherwise be excluded from festivities this winter.
Upon request, donations will be distributed to children via local charities that work on the frontline, from children's hospices, to baby banks and food banks. This will be distributed to children such as those who are terminally ill, suffering from poverty and those who would otherwise be excluded from festivities this winter.

- Youth Bonds at Hounslow Action for Youth (Feltham)
- Honeypot Children's Charity (Hammersmith)
- The Log Cabin (Ealing)
- Special Baby Unit - West Middlesex Hospital (Twickenham)
- Hounslow Community Food Box (Isleworth)
- Feltham Food Bank (Feltham)
- Baby Basics (Surrey)
If we don't collect enough toys by 15 Dec, a local child will go without!
How?
We prefer to receive funds rather than toys, because we will be able to make your funds go further by purchasing toys and gift wrapping resources in bulk at wholesale prices!

We want to go one step further than collecting toys. We want to invite you to join us in our efforts, by not only donating generously, but by taking part in our community Present Wrapping Event on Saturday 15 December 2018! We are inviting up to 200 people to help us sort, wrap and prepare all toys collected prior to distribution! Click here to sign up.
