Thank You Juli Briskman
Juli Briskman is an inspiration to us all. This week we learned that she was fired from her employer for exercising her first amendment rights.
You can show your support by donating here.
I have connected with Juli and she has been officially setup as the beneficiary on this GoFundMe campaign.
All proceeds are being donated directly to Juli. As the campaign beneficiary, she will be able to post updates and comments, so stay tuned!
Thank goodness for that Blue Wave last month!
Are you ready to keep it going!?!?
My campaign website is up and so is my Facebook page:
And we have a new logo!
It's time to think about 2019 and rooting out Trump supporters at the local level. I am running against an 8-year incumbent and self-professed Trump supporter. She has voted against gun protections for our neigbors, against fully funding our schools and against sending an ERA resolution to Richmond for ratification! (P.S. in my district, 70% of the women over 16 are part of the labor force!)
It's time to get more Democrats in office so we have a great farm team moving forward!
Let's continue that Blue Wave in 2019.
Can you help with a $10-$25 contribution today!?!?
THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
This week I filed my organizational papers to run for local office as a Democrat in Loudoun County Virginia. I made this decision, in part, because I feel I can more successfully effect change by serving in local government than by fighting an uphill battle in unfriendly courts.
I decided not to appeal the dismissal of the wrongful termination count of my lawsuit even though I still believe firing me was a clear violation of my First Amendment Rights under the Virginia Public Policy.
And have agreed to accept payment for my severance from Akima, LLC so that the suit could be settled.
Here is a link to my announcement in the Washington Post: https://wapo.st/2x9p8vE
THANK YOU again for all of your support!
I wanted to let everyone know that the hearing on my case will be on June 29 in Fairfax County Circuit Court. Akima has filed to dismiss my claim of wrongful termination in violation of Virginia Public Policy, which is rooted in our constitution and First Amendment. We are arguing that Akima feared unlawful retaliation form the Trump Administration. You can find all of the paperwork on my website at www.longmayshewave.net. Thanks again for your support. We must fight this regime!!!!
If my case is not dismissed, we may be in for a more protracted fight.
I hope I can count on you for your support!
Some have asked about shirts and may want to follow my story. So I am sharing my new website: www.longmayshewave.net
I am selling two types of shirts here.
I also have a new public Facebook page @LongMaySheWave
Thank you so much for your continued support!
