Mackenzie's Volunteer Trip to PNG
Hello all! My name is Mackenzie and I would like to take just a moment of your time to share an opportunity that has presented itself in my life.
About 2 years ago I met this extrodinary family who joined our church. They are part of a missionary organization known as New Tribes Mission. As I got to know them they shared with me their desire to reach the lost with the love of Christ and plans to become church planters in Papua New Guinea. Over the course of time we started discussing the idea of me joining them in PNG to assist them in their ministry.
All this to say that in February they contacted me informing me that they are now ready for me to join them. My reasons for going over would be to assist in homeschooling their two daughters while they are in the process of learning the language and to help in the daily chores (ie. cleaning, cooking, laundry).
Needless to say I am super excited about this opportunity and hope that you can share in this experience with me. I will be working on raising $5000 to cover my travel expenses and other personal needs. My departure for PNG will be this August and I will be returning to the states in November.
