Textbooks for school children
Donation protected
There are thousands of school children in various African communities whose parents cannot afford to buy them textbooks. This is sad.
So, as I prepare to run the Marathon on 6 May this year, I want to raise funds to provide Mathematics, English and story books for school children in Ibadan, the city where I grew up. I am also partnering with the RIG Project (Reading in the Ghetto Project) to raise funds for children who love reading but are expelled/excluded from school because their parents cannot afford school fees. Lastly, I will donate 249 copies of my book, The Shift of a Lifetime, to secondary school libraries and community resource centres.
This is a mammoth task, but we can start from somewhere! One book at a time, one child at a time!
Join me in raising the necessary funds to realise this good work!
