Texas Music Angels

The City of Irving, Texas has given the Texas Musicians Museum notice to vacate the custom-renovated building that has been the home of the TMM for almost 3 years.  Claiming unpaid rent due to the City of Irving's interpretation of the City's  vague contract,  Irving's City Hall evidently has other plans for the facility, still under contract with the TMM for another 2 years.

We love our Texas musicians and are dedicated to preserving our music history for future generations.  The Texas Musicians Museum has always run on volunteer-power only, proudly reinvesting all available funds above basic living expenses back into the museum.

Funds are required immediately to move the sizable collection of Texas music memorabilia into suitable secure, temperature-controlled storage facilities and resolve these serious allegations by the City of Irving.  Although plans for another location will be made, costs to appropriately store the collection will continue while no revenue can be generated.   Attorney fees for the TMM's defense as well as necessary monthly expenses are expected to be sizable until the TMM is reopened.

If you love Texas, music, or history, please consider donating to our cause.  Money raised in this campaign will be our gauge of the public's interest in our efforts to preserve and celebrate Texas music history.

Thank you so much for your continued encouragement and support!  It means the world to us and it's what keeps us moving forward to the next phase of our journey.
