Texas Health Clubs Hurricane Relief

As a Plano, Texas native, I have served in the health and fitness industry for over 35 years and developed relationships with many of the health club owners/operators in south Texas that were affected by Hurricane Harvey. As a former small business owner, I can appreciate the hardships impacting club staff members.
Hundreds of employees haven’t been able to physically get to work to earn their paychecks on top of being displaced from their homes which have been damaged or destroyed. After speaking with management teams of clubs in the affected areas, we determined the best way to meet the individual needs of their team members was with a gift card that could be used for almost anything.
To accomplish this, through my church, I will be purchasing Walmart gift cards with 100% of the funds raised. These cards will be hand delivered to the club owners and general managers for distribution to those hardest hit. This will allow our friends in fitness to acquire food, bedding, cleaning tools / supplies, and whatever else they may personally need as they recover and regain their strength.
