The following is a personal letter from Terry and Teresa Hucheson's daughter, Brook:
If you needed help... you called my Dad.
When any of our friends, family, acquaintances, church or complete strangers needed something done right, done now or just needed some help, my father, Terry, is who they all would call.
He’s a devoted father, avid outdoorsman, and has spent his whole life volunteering for countless community outreach programs and church organizations as well as being available for his wife of 50 years and three daughters. Two days before his devastating diagnosis of an aggressive form of liver cancer he had put finishing touches on his daughters new flooring project.
He and his wife Teresa live and work on a small ranch in Central Point, OR and have spent their lives together practicing good stewardship for the earth, raising livestock, horses, growing food and teaching their daughters and grandchildren about homesteading.
Terry Hutcheson, is a man of heroic measure. He is a man of tremendous heart, faith and patience with a deep love for a well told joke and a good, “high lonesome” bluegrass tune. His joy and laughter is infectious and his spirit makes this world one we all want to live in.
Ok guys off the cuff and typing on my iPhone- in my pajamas- out of a hotel room- this is what I could come up with. As I type while unsuccessfully, choking back tears, I am overwhelmed by your kindnesses and by the amazing man my father is!
