Middle Tennessee History Coalition
The Middle Tennessee History Coalition is a non-profit organization created to preserve and share the rich history of Tennessee. Through heritage interpretation we encourage critical thinking and personal connections to history.
Our signature event is the Tennessee History Trail at Bledsoe Creek State Park. This unique timeline heritage event covers three hundred years of Tennessee History (1500-1800). Focus areas include pre-contact Eastern Woodland Indian life, European exploration and contact with Native Americans, and early Cumberland settlements to name a few.
Long term plans include the addition of permanent interpretation facilities, and expanded programming. Contributions will supprt the above, as well as historical research, creation and purchase of interpretive costumes and props, and the addition of new programs.
In the last two years, we have provided quality interpretive programming for over three thousand children and adults.
