Hello!
Our names our Lily and Lyla-Jean, and we are students at a school located in downtown Calgary. In the course of our day, we often see less fortunate people and are inspired to help the homeless men and women in the area. We want to spread happiness and joy to everyone by giving care packages to these people in November or December to share the Christmas spirit and to make their Christmas (and winter) as joyful as possible considering their circumstances.
In Calgary alone, there are over 3500 people who don't have food and shelter. Even though we will not be able to help everyone we want to inspire you and others to help us help them... We are looking to collect donations in order to put together "Tending Totes" or care packages to some of the homeless people in downtown Calgary. These donations will 100% go towards these people in Calgary who are less fortunate than many of us.
This cause means a lot to us because we feel that even helping the small majority of Calgarians who don't have homes is just one factor in helping to make the world a better place. Your donation would make not only us thankful but the homeless thankful as well.
