Care Packages for U.S. Soldiers

Tenacious Gamers is a 7 year old gaming community of friends and like minded gamers from around the world.
Aside from playing games, each year we hold community events, social events, gaming events and charity drives.
Of all the charities we've donated to, causes we've supported, and the members and friends we've assisted over the years, no community service is more important to us than our Holiday Care Package drive.
Our community, which numbers over 1,000 gets together each year to create care packages that we send each Christmas to our US soldiers that are stationed overseas and are unable to make it home to spend the holidays with their families and loved ones.
The everyday items that we take for granted mean so much more to a US soldier fighting overseas. They spend the holidays carrying guns, standing posts and sleeping in holes in the ground, providing the freedom that allows us to enjoy the holidays with our friends and family, with feasts and football.
Our annual event is a community effort, organized and supervised by Rainedance, and the money we collect is spent on convenience and everyday items that soldiers don't get the luxury of enjoying. Items like wet naps, playing cards, CD's and movies, sports balls, candy, chapstick, games, books, pens, hand lotion, sunsreen, etc;
With dozens of military members in our community, this event and drive really hits home for us.
Members, friends and onlookers are welcome to donate. All donations will be logged and accounted for with receipts of goods and shipping.
We collect funds and donations through mid-November, do all of the shopping and look to get the care packages all wrapped up and shipped out by early December so that they arrive by Christmas.
