Temple Theatre Pipe Organ Theft

SEE TEMPLE THEATRE UPDATE - ROBERT MORTON ORGAN UPGRADE

Hundreds of vintage organ pipes stored in a private warehouse in Meridian, Mississippi were stolen.  These pipes were destined for installation in the Temple Theatre's 1927 Robert Morton Theatre Organ to further enhance its magestic voice.

The stolen pipes were most likely sold  for scrap metal by thieves who had no idea that they were virtually useless except when used for the purpose intended; namely, creating magestic music.  The Temple is an historic, 501c3 non-profit community theatre with no private or state funding.   The replacement and ongoing restoration, upgrade and repair of this magnificent theatre organ is done by volunteer members of the Magnolia Theater Organ Society Meridian Chapter and can only be accomplished through the generosity of  donors.  All funds are tax-deductible.
