THEODORE "TED' PARKER NEEDS HELP DUE TO INJURIES

Theodore (Ted) Parker was  seriously injured recently while cutting down a tree to make room for a swimming pool for his grandchild. An extremely large limb came down striking Ted in the back of his head. He suffered a large gash requiring many stitches and fracturing  his C3, C4 and C5 vertebrae. This injury is causing extreme pain and loss/limited movement in certain extremities caused by compression to his spinal cord. Ted will be undergoing surgery soon for the neck injury. While undergoing testing and scans the doctors hit his family another devastating blow when they were told Ted also has a tumor on the left front portion of his brain. This is a concern as there is prior history of brain tumors in his family. The doctors are hopeful this tumor in not cancer but this also will require surgery in the near future to prevent it from putting pressure on certain areas of his brain. Ted is currently at the University of Columbia Hospital in Columbia Missouri. Ted has worked as a journeyman iron-worker and millwright by trade and recently accepted a position as a foreman  working  on the Nuccor project in Sedalia MO. He is an amazing husband, father and grandfather and the main support of their home. The family is and will continue to incur many expenses and loss of wages. At this time Ted does have health insurance however help is needed as the family will be required to cover premiums, deductibles, prescriptions and additional medical costs .  The family will also need to make adjustments to their home to accommodate Teds disabilities (praying they are temp). After being released from the hospital Ted will undergo therapy to help him get back to where he needs to be.   With all this information it is easy to easy that this family could use some much needed love, prayers and support. Expenses are already overwhelming, as they look at whats ahead of them(medical expenses, medical supplies, food and housing and travel as the family has to travel over 140 miles round trip to be with Ted at the hospital and we all know how important loved ones are in the healing and recovering process. Any help would be greatly appreciated for Ted and his family. Everything raised will be used towards getting him what's needed to get him home, travel expenses so family can be with him and have a part in getting him strong enough to come home, and to help maintain and keep what he has worked so hard for.
