On Wedneday, June 22nd, 3 year old Talen Snow  was involved in a drowning accident. After being pulled from the water unconscious and without a heartbeat, an officer was able to preform life saving measures and bring back Talen's heartbeat. Now, Talen is in the fight of his life to overcome brain trauma and many more obstacles that lie ahead. He is currently at OU Medical Center on life support, in very serious condition. His parents, Derrick and Amberlee Snow are taking unpaid leave to be by his side. The Snow family is from Purcell, Oklahoma. Talen has a twin brother, Titus, and they had just started preschool 2 days before the accident. Also, they have a big brother, Braylon who is in 4th grade.  This family is going to face incredible challenges in the days, weeks and months ahead, let's not allow finances to be one of them. If it is in your heart to give, please do so. I know any amount will be a blessing to the Snow family.

From Amber-Each day we see small improvements that are so great. He reacts well to his brothers when they’re here during therapy. Last night after they left he just smiled like a real smile that showed his teeth. It was the sweetest thing ever and gave me so much hope seeing him do that. He moves over Friday to the in-patient rehab. If we know someone who has an RV we can use we can park it there to stay with him. Thank you everyone for the continuous prayers. I do believe it’s working everyday for our Talen.

From Amber...Talen is resting while slowly weaning off medicine throughout this weekend onto Wednesday. (He is still heavily medicated). He’s staying very calm and they think this will help his brain rest before going to live in a rehab facility. He will growl when agitated and open his eyes every once in a while. For now we wait and see if rehab can rewire his brain and heal him. In the meantime pray with us. Thanks everyone for your kind and giving spirits. We really do appreciate it.

Update from Amberlee- Yesterday (8/30) they were able to remove the breathing tube. He is stable and the doctors are saying he will be doing inpatient care. He’s not as responsive as they want him to be just yet. It’s scaring us. He is also having withdrawals from all the medications they are trying to wean him off of.

From Talen's mom, Amberlee. 8-28-18
Today hit me hard and made me realize just how hard this storm is going to be. I know it will turn around one day, but as of now today is not that day. My son's brain isn't working in two different locations known as the thalamus and the basil ganglia. My son is also having neurological tremors/storms/episodes, they call them each of those names. We really don't know enough about these things so we take it day by day and learn.
