Darren & Stacey Pedley are parents to five beautiful children – Jordy (14), Tahlia (12), Josh (10), Noah (8) and Summer (5). Their eldest daughter Tahlia has severe autism which can be very challenging and time consuming for not only Darren & Stacey, but the entire family. Darren is the sole income earner as Stacey needs to be available 24/7 for Tahlia and the other four kids. They are not only the best people you could ever meet, but the most amazing parents, always giving and willing to help anyone and both of them would give you the shirt of their backs if you needed it. There eldest son Jordy was born with a condition called Urinary Reflux which required surgery when he was just 6 months old. He subsequently went into kidney failure and has battled this for his entire life. Despite this, Jordy doesn’t complain and is so kind and giving just like his amazing mum & dad and siblings. A few months ago the Doctors informed Darren & Stacey that unless they found a matching kidney donor Jordy would soon require daily dialysis to prolong his life. After months of everyone being tested, Dad – Darren, was a perfect match. Yesterday, 5 July 2018 the big surgery took place and Darren selflessly donated a kidney to Jordy. Both Darren & Jordy will remain in the Intensive Care Units for several days, separated from each other in separate hospitals. The road to recovery for both of them will be long. With Darren being the sole income earner for the family and not being able to return to work for an extended period of time, we hope to be able to raise some money for them to help cover some medical costs and reduce some of the financial stress during this time. They have always bent over backwards for others, lets spread the love and show them how much we all love and admire them. We used to live close by and our children played together regularly but we now live over 1700kms away and this is the only way we can think of being able to help them at this time.
