On June 26th, it was determined that 6 year old Mikey has a brain tumor. He had surgery a few days after he was diagnosed where much of the tumor was removed, but the remainder has been diagnosed as cancerous. Mikey has GBM, an aggressive brain cancer that has traditionally been difficult, but not impossible to treat. Glioblastomas (GBM) are tumors that arise from astrocytes—the star-shaped cells that make up the “glue-like,” or supportive tissue of the brain. These tumors are usually highly malignant (cancerous) because the cells reproduce quickly and they are supported by a large network of blood vessels.
He has started an aggressive treatment protocol of radiation and chemotherapy which will last for the next six weeks.

I went to highschool with Mikey's Dad, who is a former Spfld Cop and currently a US Federal Agent. Even with good insurance the medical bills are already stacking up. Please help this family ease the stress of bills so they can focus on getting Mikey healthy! Thank you!!!
