On November 17, 2018, Matt Welborn and his family received a devastating diagnosis: Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Matt is only 35 years old and is fighting the hardest fight for his life and for his family. Him and his wife Crystal have been together over ten years and have a four-year-old son, Matty. Matt is a dedicated and loving husband and father, a true family man, and hard worker. He is always the first to go out of his way to help someone and doesn’t ask for anything himself. Matt and his family have a long road ahead of them. His aggressive chemo journey has begun. Matt spends 6 hrs at his Cancer center receiving chemo treatment which is followed by 48 hrs of continuous chemo pumped through a port in his chest. This grueling but necessary cycle will continue for the next 3 months in hopes that it will help qualify him for surgery. Matt and Crystal continue to work, now more than ever, to try to keep up with the cost of saving Matt’s life. Cancer is hard enough without the added stress of medical bills.
