Help Team 2797 Take Over The World!

Donation protected
Team 2797 Knight & Nerdy is a FIRST Robotics Team , based in Clermont, Florida. It was established in 2009 by Rick Croteau and is now under the leadership of Team Sponsor Justin King. The team has been working hard over these many years to have an impact not only on FIRST, but on its community as well.

The primary goal of Knight & Nerdy is to develop student interest in STEM, which is the collection of the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It does this in many ways, from teaching how to use mechanical systems and electrical components to participating in FIRST Robotics Competitions. We encourage students to share ideas and form relationships within and outside the team. The teaching of these skills prepares students for the Robotics Competition, and eventually, for their career in the STEM fields.

Another major goal of Knight & Nerdy is to focus on giving back to the community. Understanding the importance of mentors on our team, we mentor the robotics teams at the elementary and middle school level. We also volunteer to support the athletes while they compete in local triathlons, Ironman competitions, and train for the Olympics.

Our robotics team aims to focus its goals on creating a fun and educational environment for students to learn about the merits of engineering and science. Overall, we have successfully affected our community, and spread our reach further than we had in past years, and are now growing into something that can have a great effect on the future of our generation.

We were just notified by FIRST that this year our team has secured a spot in the FIRST Robotics World Competition !

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our students, but the competition is in Houston, TX in just three weeks (April 19-22). It is estimated that the cost of attending this event will exceed $20,000 with the entry fee of $5,000 being due the beginning of next week. Your help and financial support large or small would greatly be appreciated. All donations are tax deductible and you will be sent a receipt and copy of our non-profit status. Even if you can't help financially, please share us with your friends and family social media.  Again, thank you for your help and wish us luck!

Here is one last video so you can see what the robot must do during the match.

If goal is not achieved funds will be applied to next Regional competition.
