Kapolei High TEAM 2445 RoboKap
We are TEAM 2445, and after 9 years of competing in the Hawaii Regional FIRST Robotics competition, we are finalists along with Team 2439, Bearbotics from Baldwin High and `Iobots Team 2438 from `Iolani High School.
Now, our chance to go to the World Championships in St. Louis, Missouri is in 2 short weeks. (April 26- May 1, 2016)
We need your support to fund our airfare, hotel, transportation and robot expenses! All of the funds we raise will pay for our 30 team members and 8 mentors and teachers.
Some of our members are from disadvantaged groups, with their parents or single parents struggling to maintain choices for their children in and out of school. By taking our team to the World Championships, our students will be exposed to a world focused on science, technology and engineering. We hope this trip inspires them to continue their journey to post high school training or college.
Words cannot express how grateful we are for the achievements our team and past teams have accomplished. Taking our Team 2445 to St. Louis to compete with the best robots in the world will add to our dreams and goals for ourselves and our community.

Aloha and mahalo for all of your generous support and thoughts while we made the trek to the DOME in St. Louis! We learned so much about ourselves and our teammates. We struggled through the jet lag and navigation of the ʻGateway to the Westʻ with gratitude and appreciation for our community and the opportunity to represent! We competed with the best robots from around the world to understand that progress comes with process and perseverance! Mahalo to our parents and alumni who were able to make the journey to support us! Mahalo again for everyoneʻs generous donation and we will make every effort to continue to make TEAM 2445 robust and a contender for the future! Youʻre the best!
