Team Tim vs Brain Tumor

My name is Timmy Shay, I am the father of 4 children and have been with my wife, Jennifer, for over 20 years. I have lived in the Ormond Beach area for a majority of my life.  I work as a postal carrier, a job that has allowed me to get to know many of my neighbors over the years. I started to notice that I was unable to recall the names of clients that I have known for years and that my memory was lacking. I was also tired even after a full night of rest and suffering from unexplained headaches. 

After urging from my loved ones, I underwent an MRI and on October 16th I was diagnosed with a brain tumor.  On November 7th I will be undergoing brain surgery to remove the tumor at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.  Per the Neurosurgeon, recovery will be at least 2 months. I am extremely optimistic about the prognosis, but between the out of pocket expenses and loss of work, my family will be in need of financial assistance.  Any amount collected will pay for the upcoming medical bills.  My family and I appreciate any help.
