Kristina Wright was diagnosed with a very rare gynecological cancer in November 2010. She was only 34 years old at diagnosis. She fought it with chemotherapy and radiation and then also with a life saving surgery in January of 2013. This surgery had a year long recovery and has several lifetime side effects. She was cancer free until March of 2015 when the cancer metastasized into her lungs. She then had to complete a 21 week treatment of Chemotherapy (Taxol and Avastin) in which she lost her hair. In 2015 she also found out that she carries the KRAS Gene, which makes her cancer incurable. So this very long chemo treatment in 2015 was for maintenance, not a cure. Clinical trials are a must for Kristi but they are very hard to get into due to the rarity of her primary cancer, being stage 4 and metastatic, along with this KRAS gene mutation. She was matched to a trial during the summer of 2016 but had to stop the medication because of a terrible skin toxicity side effect. In June of 2018, she started an Immunotherapy Clinical Trial. She continued to do that for a year and a half but not without complications. In the Fall of 2019, cancer was found in her neck and then shortly after in her brain. She received radiation on both of these spots in which they continue to watch. Currently she finds herself with a new cancer tumor in one adrenal gland and in the muscle by her tailbone and sciatica. She started Chemotherapy (Taxol and Avastin) on March 9th to stop the rapid spread of cancer and for maintenance. She will do three weeks on and one week off for the foreseeable future. She started radiation on the cancer near her tailbone on March 24th. She will have 5 high dosage treatments of radiation. They will watch the tumor on her adrenal gland at this time. Along with that she continues to battle the cancer in her lungs, where there are several tumors. This causes her to be very symptomatic. She is also currently being considered for a clinical trial but has been told that it is a 15% chance she will get in. She has just recently been considered for two other trials in which she was told no. On a positive note, whether due to radiation or this new chemo regimen, the spot in her neck has shrunk and the largest spot in her upper left lung has also shrunk!

Kristi get's MRI and CT scans every 6-8 weeks. This includes areas from her head to her thighs. Extensive blood work every visit. She sees two Oncologists regularly that oversee her treatments and care. She has about 10 prescription medications and supplements that she has to keep filled and on hand at all times. Kristi suffers from a terrible cough, often times causing her to throw up. She is very anemic and also suffering from symptoms brought on by Chemo. In additions to her own health, her daughter has a mystery health situation. They are scheduled to see a third specialists to try to get this figured out. Her specialist deductible is $2000 and so everything is out of pocket until then when it will convert to a copay. Their medical bills are many with Kristi alone, especially at the beginning of the year before any deductibles are being met.

Kristi has been married to her husband, Billy, for 22 years and together they have Chris, Isaiah, and Alyssa. Chris has recently gotten married and Isaiah and Alyssa both still live at home. This has been a ten year journey for her, her family and those that love her. She feels incredibly blessed to now be 43! Kristi is in need of a life saving clinical trial or miraculous and divine healing from the Lord. Today I ask that if you feel lead to support Kristi and her family in a financial way that you donate. If you are unable to donate I ask for prayers! Prayers for healing over her body, less or zero symptoms, a clinical trial to come soon, and just for quality of life with less suffering. We ask for prayer that the Chemo will help shrink current cancer tumors and that the radiation helps her pain near her tailbone. Every day her family prays for a miracle and that they cancer will be gone!

Beyond her medical bills and prescription needs a house cleaner has been set up and is to start on April 6th. They will come every other week. It will be $75 each time if you want to donate for a cleaning. This will alleviate a lot for Kristi but also for Billy as he carries the weight of his job and everything else around the home while she is not well. There are 4 adult eaters in the house if you would like to donate money towards a meal. At this time they are not taking any meals being dropped off because of the need to keep her house germ free and recommendations due to the Corona virus. Also, because it’s difficult to know what Kristi can stomach on any given day. Money for gas is also appreciated as they travel many times a week back and forth to appointments.

As Kristi says, "the giant before us is big, but our God is humongous!" Her Faith is as wide as it is deep. Although, it has been tested over and over again, her eyes are fixed on the Lord. I know that your prayers and donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
